	Cross Check Ranch lies 23 miles north of Riverton Wyoming in a private valley south of the Owl Creek Mountains. This area is famous for producing high quality alfalfa with consistent yields.    The production in this area is reputed to be some of the best in Wyoming for alfalfa hay which thrives on the sandy soil and plentiful irrigation water.	Hay Sales Feeding About Us Home	The ranch lies in a protected valley bordered by sandstone cliffs on the south and Muddy Creek on the north with the beautiful Owl Creek Mountains beyond.    This area is considered a mild wintering area for livestock. Our dryland pastures consist of sub-irrigated meadow and sandy, brushy draws which are great for spring calving.
